The vision of the parade event is to present an entertaining and informative event worthy of world class participation and media attention.

The concept is that of a “moving stage.  In order to entertain and educate the audience along the route, the parade makes numerous stops to enable performers and exhibitors to make a 60-second presentation.  This could be in the form of music, singing, chanting, dancing or other performance. .” (See the website photo gallery of the 2007 event for examples.)  Exhibitors could use this opportunity to pass out informational materials, etc.

Families and other groups have an opportunity to participate via Community Sponsorships or Family Sponsorships (go to our website), thereby supporting or participating with other groups who are performing or exhibiting.  (Mere “marching in the parade” will not be considered sufficiently supportive of achieving our vision of an entertaining or informative event.)

The Committee reserves the right to refuse participation at any time in its total discretion.  This would include situations of excessive controversy or perceived potential for disorder, and exclusion could take place at any time prior to or during the event itself.
